Our starting points

All access routes on this site begin at one of three points:

The lights in Golden: The starting point for accessing all hikes south on Highway 95, for the Dogtooth FSR and for Mount 7. The one and only set of traffic lights in town (not including pedestrian lights) are on the south side of the Kicking Horse River, at the intersection of 10 Avenue S and 9th Street S, in front of Apostoles Restaurant and the BC Liquor Store. If you are asking for directions, just say "the lights."

The junction of Highway 95 and Highway 1: The starting point for accessing all hikes east and west on the Trans Canada Highway, as well as on the Blaeberry FSR and in the Beaverfoot Valley. Drive north from downtown to the overpass, turn left, go around the cloverleaf, and Highway 95 ends when it meets the Trans Canada Highway (Highway 1).

The Bear Falls trail is only accessible to eastbound traffic on the Trans Canada Highway, so the starting point is Rogers Pass.
